The Entertainment Capital of the World with dazzling shows, casinos, and endless nightlife.
Out of all the places I have explored so far on my world journey, this one stands out as the liveliest. While it may be known for its reputation and the famous saying of ‘what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas’; what truly captivated me was the unparalleled uniqueness of this place. It’s a city that never sleeps, and you can witness this in the enthusiasm of its residents, the constant influx of tourists and the countless events and experiences that they offer on the main strip.
The main Las Vegas strip is an absolute must-visit and you would be silly if you didn’t spend the majority of your time exploring this vibrant area. It is filled with a variety of casinos, hotels and events to keep you busy for at least a week. One of the top attractions that should be on your list is the mesmerising ‘Fountains of Bellagio’ show. The best part – it is absolutely free. The Bellagio resort puts on this captivating show and you can catch it every 15-30 minutes depending on the day and time you visit. Caesars Palace is also stands out as an iconic destination, and a stay there will promise an unforgettable experience. One of the highlights of this hotel is the nightly entertainment – from fantastic restaurants to lively nightclubs; there is always something exciting to do. If you are fortunate to a catch a show or performance at ‘The Colossum’, you’re in for a real treat. With its multitude of grand hotels, the strip is an endless entertainment centre and feels like a mini universe where you can experience the world in just one day.
There is one opportunity you absolutely can’t miss out on while spending some time in Las Vegas. A visit to the Grand Canyon is an extraordinary experience that will stay with you forever. Trust me, it is truly amazing! And the best part is, you have plenty of options to choose from when it comes to how you want to explore this natural wonder. There are various booking options available around Las Vegas to secure a tour, but if you want to be well-prepared, I highly recommend booking in advance at Getyourguide. Now, if you are feeling a bit adventurous and want to make this experience even more special, why not book a helicopter tour? It’s a bit more expensive, but totally worth it if you want to splurge and have the time of your life. On the other hand, if you’re on a budget, taking the bus is a convenient and affordable option. Keep in mind that the journey to/from the Grand Canyon will take around 10-12 hours, but don’t worry, it’s a great opportunity to sit back, relax and enjoy the breath-taking scenery along the way. The tour I booked was around $90 (USD) per person but included transportation, expert guide knowledge, a delicious lunch and an extra stop at the iconic Hoover Dam, which is another must-see attraction in Nevada. So, you’ll have plenty of time to explore the Grand Canyon, take stunning photos, and simply soak in the awe-inspiring views.
I wanted to change up my adventures while I was in Las Vegas. This experience doesn’t require much explanation, but it’s definitely one of the unique things I enjoyed during my time here. If you’re a shopaholic, you’ll absolutely love it. Las Vegas North Premium outlet is renowned for being one of the top outlet malls, with around 175 stores to explore. It also offers a variety of restaurants and food stalls to keep you fuelled throughout the day. This outlet mall is known for its impressive discounts from 25-65%. So, what are you waiting for? Make sure to add it to your must-do list when visiting for a long weekend.
View here →Las Vegas offers a plethora of unique experiences, but one that I highly recommend is getting a bird’s-eye view of the city. With so many options available, it can be challenging to choose the perfect spot, especially if you are short on time. Looking for an exceptional view while enjoying a delicious meal? Look no further than the Eiffel Tower restaurant. Situated high above the city, this top-notch restaurant offers breath-taking views of the iconic Bellagio fountains. However, keep in mind that the price tag matches the view, with main meals starting at $35-$40 (USD). For those seeking a more relaxed experience and don’t mind a leisurely ride on a Ferris wheel, ‘The High Roller’ is an absolute must-try. I personally had a blast when I visited just before sunset. The views of the city were absolutely phenomenal. To make the experience even better, I purchased a ticket that included access to the bar for 30 minutes during happy hour. Sipping on unique cocktails while taking in unbeatable views of the city was truly unforgettable. This can start from $75 (USD) depending on the website you book through. So, whether you prefer a fancy dinner with a view or a laid-back Ferris wheel adventure, Vegas has you covered.
